Located in the centre of Walkden, Parr Fold Park is a classic Victorian park with many traditional features such as landscaped gardens, mature trees and open lawns.

Our newly refurbished café will open to the public for the 2020 season on Friday 10 July. The café is located in the park’s pavilion, adjacent to the tennis courts and the children’s play area. Serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and ice creams, it’s the perfect spot to stop this summer for some refreshments whilst visiting the park.

The café is open to both sit-in and takeaway for drinks, snacks and ice cream. In line with the latest government guidance we have implemented measures to ensure the safety of both customers and colleges. We will be operating a queuing system outside the pavilion, with a counter at the entrance from which we can process customer orders. Customers are asked to pay by card only, with contactless payments available.

The historic park is popular with locals and at the heart of the Walkden community. It is one of only two parks within Salford (along with Victoria Park) to have a bandstand, which was first built in 1935.

Amongst the park’s other features include a memorial garden, tennis courts, outdoor gym, skate park and a children’s play area for 4-8 year olds.

The park is supported by the Friends of Parr Fold Park. Follow their Facebook page or email friendsofparrfoldpark@gmail.com.
