Aqua Fit or Aqua Aerobics gets you fit with none of the impact of hammering the gym floor and it can also give your muscles a massage whilst you work out! It’s low-impact and the cushioning effect of the water protects joins in the spine, ankle, hip and knees, Suitable for both swimmers and non-swimmers alike – it provides an invigorating workout for all levels of fitness.

Aqua Circuits is for those who prefer a more targeted workout without the dance to music element. Classes are pool based equivalent to circuits in the gym. Covering a range of activities and movements, you use equipment such as weights and specialised floats and move between stations to tone specific muscle groups to provide a resistance training workout underwater. Ideal for pre-season preparation and endurance work throughout the year, the workouts are also aimed at improving aerobic fitness.

You will have heard about the fitness craze called Zumba that is sweeping the country inspired by salsa, samba and merengue music. Did you know that you can now enjoy the dance based fitness session in the pool? Aqua Zumba offers all the benefits of Zumba’s high intensity dance moves with gentle support of the water. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to have fun in the pool!

Aquanatal classes are a great activity for mums-to-be (12 weeks pregnant and above). Come and experience the perfect balance of relaxation, laughter and exercise. It’s a wonderful way to unwind and stay healthy in pregnancy.

Classes take a holistic approach to mums’ physical and mental well-being, combining relaxation with cardiovascular exercises to help prepare the body for labour. Classes take place in the soothing, warm comforts of the pool, providing one of the safest ways to exercise in pregnancy.
