“I’m a strong believer that CrossFit is for everyone. So, I’d encourage people to come along, have a go and discover what CrossFit is all about and I’m sure you’ll get hooked too.”
Nikko has been involved in sport and fitness from a young age, having represented his home country, The Bahamas, in World Cup qualifiers at just 16 years old. During his football career he also found a love of coaching through involvement in the youth programs.
After leaving to start a new life in the UK, he decided to follow his passion and completed qualifications in Sports Science at Exeter College and University of Salford, eventually making Salford his new home. In his final year of university, he chose a Strength and Conditioning pathway and found CrossFit as a great way to put his knowledge into action. This led him to start an internship at his box and begin a career as a CrossFit trainer.
“The best part about CrossFit is its inclusive nature and the community vibe you get at your local box! I wanted to be a part of the coaching team to help others feel as welcome as I felt walking into my first box and comfortable enough to set goals to better themselves!”
