2022 was a record year for Salford Swim Academy, which achieved an amazing set of results over the year, and one of the most successful seasons in its history with such a diversity of success across many different events and competitions!
There is celebration on the coaching team also, as our fantastic Salford Leisure Synchro Head Coach Jessica Fletcher was recently nominated to attend the Swim England national award for Coach of the Year, after previously winning the North West Coach of the year earlier in 2022.
Jess was nominated by Swim England through a voting/nomination process for her dedication and outstanding coaching.
Jess achieved second place in the national awards which is a massive achievement just to be nominated and recognised for her hard work.
The Swim Academy if you’re not familiar is part of the SCL Learn to Swim programme.
Eligible swimmers who have completed Stages 1 – 7, can then progress to the Academy. This is the route to competitive swimming and opens up many different and exciting opportunities for children.
