Eccles Library and Broughton Library are open for bookable Call and Collect Appointments and PC Appointments. Browsing and other services are not permitted and emphasis will continue to be on the safety of our customers and our staff.

Our Books@Home service will also continue to take the library service to people in these difficult circumstances.

Don’t forget, you can also access Borrow Box, the fantastic digital library app that means you can read or listen to their favourite book for free.

Our Schools’ Libraries Service is continuing to support schools by ensuring that books and learning materials are provided for children and teachers remaining in school.

MAPAS will also continue to provide some services with online music lessons.

Salford Museum & Art Gallery and Ordsall Hall are sharing some great content on their social channels.

Our Active Lifestyles Team is offering online classes for patients on exercise referral programmes, helping the most vulnerable stay active in their own homes.

We’re keeping children active through various online classes and activities from SCL School of Dance and Salford Youth Alliance, plus our Schools Sports Team are delivering sessions in schools and online.

Plus our café at Clifton Country Park is open, offering takeaway service for locals using the park in their family bubbles for exercise.

We’re also delighted to be working with colleagues across the NHS, supporting the roll out of the COVID-19 vaccines and rapid testing. Clarendon, Eccles and Irlam & Cadishead Leisure Centres are now all venues for the NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service and Beesley Green and Wardley Community Centres are also being used as rapid COVID-19 testing centres.
