Following the Government’s outline of the road map for easing COVID19 restrictions and the re-opening of schools, we’re delighted to confirm that our School Swimming Lesson programme will restart from Monday 15 March 2021.

We’ll be re-opening our swimming pools especially for school swimming lessons only and we’re looking forward to welcoming your children back to our pools.

Whilst Clarendon, Eccles and Irlam & Cadishead Leisure Centres will continue to operate as vaccination centres, swimming lessons will be able to restart at these centres. We have ensured that both operations will work separately from each other, avoiding mixing children and members of the public within our facilities.

Unfortunately we will not be able to offer school swimming lessons at Broughton Leisure Centre as this venue is currently being utilised as a COVID-19 testing centre. If you usually have lessons at Broughton and would like to restart, we can look at options for you to attend a different pool.

We need all schools to confirm if they are ready for your school to return to swimming lessons. Please complete a Return to Swimming Lessons webform at the top/bottom of this page.

If you are not booked for the second block February through to July but would like to take the opportunity to book a set of top up lessons please email with the above information.

The welfare of you and your pupils is our priority and we’ll work to continue to offer a safe swimming environment for everyone.

Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to getting all our children back in the water and enjoying swimming once again.
