Due to the national lockdown, this means that all our leisure centres are now currently closed. Once again, we accept these measures with a heavy heart, but look forward to welcoming you back when restrictions have been changed to allow us to re-open.

What this means:

Gym Memberships

We will follow the same procedure we had in place for the lockdowns in March and November. All SCL memberships are now once again frozen.

  • If you are a Direct Debit customer, we will now FREEZE your membership for FREE for the period our leisure centres are closed. Your direct debit payments will be stopped for the closure period.
    • No Direct Debit payments were taken on 1st January and none will be take on 15th January.
    • As we do not know how long these restrictions will be in place, we will contact you again when we are able to re-open and confirm when your next payment will be taken.
  • If you pay in full for your membership, then the period of our closure will be added to the length of your current contract so you don’t lose out.
  • You will not be able to access our leisure centres during this time.
  • Your membership will automatically unfreeze and restart when our centres re-open.
  • When we re-open your membership will continue at the same rate you are currently paying.
  • If you have requested a chargeable freeze we will amend payments or expiry date when we reopen as necessary.
  • If you have requested a freeze which is yet to be confirmed your membership is now frozen due to the closure and no payment will be requested. If you wish to freeze when we reopen please let us know.
  • If you have received a cancellation confirmation, this still applies. If you have requested a cancellation and have not yet received your confirmation this will be processed shortly.
Swimming Lessons

We will follow the same procedure we had in place for the lockdowns in March and November.

  • All swimming lessons have now stopped.
  • If you pay for lessons via Direct Debit, your payments will be stopped for the closure period.
    • No Direct Debit payments were taken on 1st January and none will be take on 15th January.
    • As we do not know how long these restrictions will be in place, we will contact you again when we are able to re-open and confirm when your next payment will be taken.
  • If you pay via a 10 week block pass, then credits for the period of our closure will be added. to your account to use when we re-open. This means you don’t lose out.
  • You will not be able to access our leisure centres and swimming pools during this time.
  • Your payments will automatically restart when our centres re-open.
  • If your membership is frozen due to Tier 3 restrictions on Adult lessons and they are still unavailable when we reopen, your lessons will remain frozen.
  • The swimmer will return to the same lesson when we re-open.

Once again, this will be another difficult time for us all and shutting our venues and freezing customers memberships has huge consequences for us and also the health of Salford.

Stay Active During Lockdown

During the closure, we will be looking to offer more online classes via Zoom, with a timetable of 30 fitness classes available to access online. Purchase the online Zoom membership.

Once purchased we will send you a list of all the classes and the relative codes. These classes will not need any specific equipment to take part in.

We will be ready to welcome you back when we are able to re-open.

If you have any queries regarding your membership, please contact us by emailing collections@scll.co.uk.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you and your family stay safe and well during this period.
