Taking images and quotes from the exhibition as our base, we’ll do some activities together before you get to write your masterpiece – or silly piece!
The session is structured as follows:
- Group work activity that will help bring to life some of the choices our dancers faced
- A short discussion about what they know/think about ballet
- A short presentation about the history of Black dancers in British ballet and a chance to view the exhibition if it’s at the library – we have printed handouts if not!
- A choice of individual writing exercises with an opportunity to share these at the end.
Suitable for ages 16 + years.
