From Monday 12 April, Eccles Library, Broughton Library, Swinton Library, Pendleton Library and Walkden Library will be open for Browsing Appointments and PC Appointments.
The emphasis will continue to be on the safety of our customers and our staff, so there are still some necessary restrictions in place, including on the duration of your visit. We will be following government advice and applying strict safety measures, especially around social distancing, cleaning and hygiene, and we will be asking all customers to co-operate.

Call us to arrange to choose and borrow books from any of the libraries.

PC Appointments
Call us to book a 60-minute appointment to use a computer. We will explain new procedures, including cleaning the PCs. Staff will be on hand to ensure you are able to log on to a PC but will only be able to provide limited help because of social distancing requirements. Printing will be available at all libraries.

We strongly recommend booking an appointment in advance to be certain that you can visit at your preferred time.
Remember, if you are unable to get to a library, you can still access some of our other library services including Books@Home and BorrowBox.
