Then becoming a walk leader could be for you!

The benefits of becoming a volunteer for SCL:

  • Satisfaction in helping others to access and enjoy the benefits of walking / becoming active.
  • Training provided for the role.
  • Support from the Jo Bennett in the volunteering role.
    Public liability insurance through Salford Community Leisure / Ramblers.

What we would expect from the volunteer walk leader:

  • Commitment to help lead a Wellbeing Walk for at least 6 months.
  • Lead the walk as trained to do so.
  • Ensure the safety of participants on the walk.
  • Be available for 1.5 to 2hrs per week.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the local area.
  • Help research and risk assess suitable walking routes.
  • Ensure any information from Jo Bennett is circulated to the walkers.
