Disability Dance

The sessions combine movement and dance based activities to music to encourage agility, balance and coordination.

Combining simple dance routines along with the use of equipment including ribbons, scarves, pom poms and parachutes, the fun routines and activities are designed so that everyone can join in and have a good time.

Classes consist of fun routines and activities that are designed so that everyone can join in and have a great time. These classes are suitable for everyone including wheelchair users and those with little mobility. Carers stay at the community sessions and are encouraged to join in with the classes if they want to! The dancers at the Rainbow Rooms are given the opportunity to take part in performer’s exams with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA).

We also deliver closed sessions to individual groups and Schools.

All sessions are delivered by dance specialist coaches. We also encourage parent and carer involvement for children and young people who require additional care and support needs.
