New class alert at Worsley Leisure Centre – Tai Chi

Tai Chi is back at Worsley Leisure Centre on a Wednesday morning, perfect for relieving the effects of stress on the body and mind.

If you’re not familiar with it, Tai Chi, often referred to as “meditation in motion,” promotes a focus on the present, to allow everyday worries fall away. It is a low intensity class based on the martial arts, using slow and precise movements combined with meditation to improve balance, cultivating a focus and calmness to help maintain optimum health.

Health benefits include:

·       Reduced stress

·       Improved posture

·       Improved balance and general mobility

·       Increased muscle strength in legs

Classes are available at Irlam and Cadishead Leisure Centre and Worsley Leisure Centre and are bookable via the app or online.
