Winton Library is an autism and neuro-divergent friendly space, and we also have dedicated relaxed sessions. Lighting will be reduced, staff are on hand but will not approach you unless you ask and there is a quiet room available.
The Storynook is full of resources to help families explore and enjoy stories through play. Perfect if you have been searching for an alternative to traditional storytelling for your child! It’s free for families to book and you will have sole use of the space for 1 hour.
Our new library full of specialist resources to help make reading more accessible. Including Braille Books (grades 1 & 2), Giant Print, Large Print (various font types and sizes), Dyslexia friendly books, Read-alongs, Storysacks, Sensory Stories and Living Paintings books.
Sensory bags are available to borrow from reception, free of charge, to be used during a visit. The bags contain items such as fidget toys, ear defenders, mirrors, magnifying glasses and other appropriate toys.

Combining simple dance routines along with the use of equipment including ribbons, scarves, pom poms and parachutes, the fun routines and activities are designed so that everyone can join in and have a good time.

Sessions encourage parents and carers involvement in activities for children and young people who require additional care and support needs.
This choir is for any SEND children with a love of singing or music making. Rehearsals are lively and fun as children develop their voices and instrumental playing as part of a group. The group rehearse at Oakwood Academy.
Mondays, 3:15 - 4:00pm for ages 18 and under, Oakwood Academy.
The Rainbow rooms choir is for any young adults with SEND. The sessions are designed to build confidence and are adapted to suit each individual needs. Sessions contain plenty of fun and laughter and strong friendships are also formed. The groups perform regularly at our MAPAS Centre showcase concerts.
