The weather is warming up and the season is officially underway at Salford Watersports Centre with lots of great activities to try. So, get your goggles ready and read on to find out more about the following activities available on and in the water at Salford Quays waiting for you:

Open Water Swimming new swim season!

Swim with us every Thursday evening at 17:00 – 19:30pm and Sunday mornings 9.30am – 11.30am throughout April. (Tuesday evening swims return in May!).

Sessions offer great value and different distance courses are available for all abilities (300 metres & 500 metres).  Swimmers must be able to swim 300m of any stroke continuously in open water and 12-16 year olds must be accompanied by a competent swimmer. Pre-booking is essential.

We do recommend that only those with cold water experience swim at this time/temp, and we’ll shortly be announcing our coaching sessions which will include an Introduction To Open Water session for anyone looking to get started!

Coaching:

Our coaching timetable will be launching very shortly with weekly sessions starting in May, however we do have an Introduction To Cold Water Swimming Session running on Sunday 21st April 10:15 – 11:00 – £20pp & Includes free wetsuit hire.

Introduction to Stand Up Paddleboarding

Find your balance and confidence on the water with our beginner friendly introductory session, Set off on your paddleboarding adventure with our 75-minute Intro To Stand Up Paddleboarding session.

Aimed at beginners and those looking to gain confidence, our friendly instructors will guide you through the essentials: paddling forwards, backwards, perfecting turns, and the crucial skills of balancing and standing up. All whilst exploring the inner basins of Salford Quays.

By the end of the session, you should feel steadier on your feet and ready to progress.

Thursdays 7 – 8.15pm

£15 pp includes board, paddle and buoyancy aid.
