The Brownlee Foundation Schools events are designed to give primary school children an introduction to the sport of triathlon, swimming, cycling and running.  With no need for any previous triathlon experience, children of all abilities are able to take part.

The events which take place across the country, are free for primary schools to take part and are aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils enabling them to try something new and have fun being active in sport. The aim is fun in a non-competitive and inclusive environment.

Sara Walker, Headteacher at Westwood Park Community Primary School said ‘The children have had an amazing day, they really have! There were lots of our children that volunteered to take part in the event today that wouldn’t have normally and it was such a great opportunity for them to experience a triathlon event. A thoroughly great day all round. It was wonderful to be part of this event with so many children from across Salford’.
