Every Monday, Wardley Community Centre comes alive with music, laughter and movement as the Let’s Dance group takes to the floor.

This keep-fit and wellness session aims to make dancing and movement accessible to all. Led by Ged from the Salford Health Improvement Team,Let’s Dance has been running out of Wardley Community Centre for over two years. The group is now thriving with more than 50 registered members.

What is Let’s Dance?

Let’s Dance is a 45-minute burst of energy. The class is set to a lively playlist, featuring hits from the 70s, 80s, 90s and even a few from the 2000s. Designed for all abilities and ages, the exercises include both chair-based movements and gentle routines on your feet. There is minimal spinning or jumping, making it accessible to everyone.

The Benefits of Let’s Dance

Let’s Dance is about more than just the exercise. It’s a space where people can connect, share a laugh, and build new friendships. Many participants say the most important part of the group is leaving with a smile, a sense of belonging, and a renewed boost of energy.

The growing popularity of the class speaks for itself. It fills up every week. An achievement that has come about thanks to the glowing word-of-mouth recommendations from the growing membership base. The welcoming, inclusive nature of the sessions ensures that no matter your age, fitness level, or dance ability, you can join in and have fun.
