MAPAS Summer School 2026

The MAPAS Summer School is back for 2026!

Join us for four fantastic days of Music and Performing Arts making this August. Our theme for this year is: ‘Salford at 100’. Children will get involved with:

• One off instrument workshops
• Composition workshops
• Improvising workshops
• Dance workshops
• Drama workshops
• Music games and much more…

They can also join the Join the MAPAS Summer School Orchestra and MAPAS Summer School Choir!

Open to ALL children aged 7-12. The course will end with a short performance for family and friends at 2:30pm on Thursday 20th August.

• Children who play a musical instrument will be required to bring it to each day of the course. If your child doesn’t play a musical instrument, don’t worry, they will be allocated one by MAPAS (usually percussion or keyboard).
• Children will require a packed lunch and a re-fillable water bottle for each day of the course.
• Children are welcome to bring balls/games/books for use during breaktimes/lunchtimes. Phones and tablets are discouraged.
