Are you more of a poet or a critic or a blogger?

Whoever you are, take your skills back in time to explore the stories of Black British ballet dancers. Taking images and quotes from the exhibition as our base, we’ll do some activities together before you get to write your masterpiece – or silly piece!

The session is structured as follows:

  1. Group work activity that will help bring to life some of the choices our dancers faced
  2. A short discussion about what they know/think about ballet
  3. A short presentation about the history of Black dancers in British ballet and a chance to view the exhibition if it’s at the library – we have printed handouts if not!
  4. A choice of individual writing exercises with an opportunity to share these at the end.

Suitable for ages 16 + years.

FREE, booking required.
