Salford Wellbeing Walks can help and support people to become more physically active to improve their health and wellbeing.

Salford Wellbeing Walks are free local walks to help you become physically active to help improve your health and wellbeing.

The walks offer a safe, relaxed and sociable environment in which to walk and are designed to help you meet your 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise each week. Perfect for those who would like to become more physically active or perhaps lack the confidence and knowledge about where to walk.

If you would like to come along on a Salford Wellbeing Walk:

  • No booking is required
  • Please arrive 10min before the start of the walk, so the walk leader can collect some info
  • Please wear flat, grippy shoes or trainers and wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions
  • Bring a drink of water
  • We don’t allow dogs on the Wellbeing Walks
  • All Salford Wellbeing Walks are no longer than 1 hour in length

*Please note that only Salford residents are able to attend the RHS Garden Bridgewater walk.

The below walks are cancelled and will no longer be running as a led Wellbeing Walk. As these walks have been established for a long time, we are encouraging walkers to still turn up and go informally.

Boothstown Wellbeing Walk – Monday, 1:30pm
Blackleach Wellbeing Walk – Thursday, 10:00am
Monton Wellbeing Walk – Tuesday, 10:00am

  • Everyone is responsible for themselves
  • As a group decide which route to take
  • Keep the walk to the hour, so they stay the same
  • No register, forms etc will be completed
  • If a previous walk leader attends the informal walk, they are there as a walker only
