Futsal SCL Arena

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced form of indoor five a side sport that originated in South America. Played on hard pitches with small-sided teams, Futsal places emphasis on technical skill in a smaller playing area which lends itself to the development of both technically and tactically minded players.

Unlike five a side football, Futsal has some unique differences regarding rulesets, with examples being a 4 second rule to take any restart and the use of a size 4, heavier ball. Originating primarily in South America, Futsal has aided the development of many high-profile footballers, such as Messi, Ronaldinho and Neymar.

Salford’s only dedicated indoor Futsal arena, based at Ordsall Leisure Centre boasts:

• A brand new sole purpose indoor Futsal arena with pitch side viewing area and first floor viewing area with vending facilities
• Changing rooms
• An education space
• An upstairs breakout space with viewing area

The dedicated Futsal arena is split into 1 senior court and 2 junior courts:

• Senior Court – 30m x 20m
• Junior Courts – 20m x 12.5m
