Salford Museum & Art Gallery is working in partnership with Salford City Council’s Public Health team. The aim is to test out developing museum exhibitions with a specific focus on increasing opportunities for social connection and creativity.

This project sits within the following local priorities:

  • Greater Manchester’s Integrated Care Partnership’s focus on preventative care.
  • Live Well – GM’s movement for community-led health and wellbeing.
  • Salford City Council’s Community Solutions approach – where public services are closely aligned in addressing local needs.

For this project, the museum collaborated with two community groups from Langworthy Cornerstone – Talk about it Mate and Women into Visual Arts – to develop an exhibition about colour and emotion. To find out more about this project watch the following videos or download an Evaluation Report which outlines the projects aims and outcomes. The exhibition website is here.
