Danny Washington is a coach and PT at CrossFit SCL and has been with us for over 12 months.
Danny recently took part in the CrossFit Games ‘Open’ 2024 which is the first qualifying stage of the global CrossFit Games event, which is essentially a league to find the fittest people on the planet! Danny absolutely smashed it and finished in first place in his division!
Every year in March CrossFit Athletes and CrossFit Affiliates take part in a global event. The “Open” takes place over 3 weeks and a new workout is released every Friday for those taking part to be completed, judged and verified within a 4 day window.
The have a number of divisions to cater for all athletes and Danny signed up for the Adaptive (Lower Minor) Division. Those that do well on the overall leaderboard are invited to take part in quarterfinals, regionals and eventually “The CrossFit Games!”
