We are pleased to announce the refurbishment of the Tennis Courts at Buile Hill Park and Boothsbank Park are now complete, and the courts are open for bookings.

On Sunday 17th September Salford Community Leisure (SCL) were privileged to welcome the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) along with the Sports Minister, Stuart Andrew to the Buile Hill tennis courts, to celebrate the investment and refurbishment of the tennis courts across Salford and the rest of the UK.

Local children and adults gave the courts a trial run and participated coaching sessions along with the Salford Mayor, Paul Dennett and local councillors, Charlotte Youd and Alexis Sharma.

The sessions gave everyone a taster of what the courts will offer the local community and how important the investment from the LTA and Salford City Council, across eight Salford City public parks, is to get local communities more involved in tennis and sport.

Garry Bateman, Head of Leisure at SCL said:

“The very first public park was in Salford and it’s been a privilege to have played a part in bringing about this renovation of our parks tennis courts and offering great facilities for people to take part in the sport of tennis. We can’t wait for the rest of the Salford courts to be finished and handed over to Salford Community Leisure so we can open them for bookings.”
