Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Acro and more!

The SCL School of Dance specialises classes in Ballet, Tap, Freestyle Disco, Contemporary Modern Jazz, Acrobatic Dance and Theatre Craft.

Classes are available for ages 2 ½ upwards. Students prepare for exams with the IDTA (with which we have a 100% pass rate), regular shows at The Lowry Theatre, with some students progressing into Theatre Dance Competitions.

The Baby Ballet and Disco classes are a great introduction into dance. During these fun filled classes, dancers are able to learn the fundamental skills of dance in a friendly and caring environment.

The 4-5 year old classes work on Rosettes and Group Awards to build confidence and self esteem and the older groups work on graded exams that are OFQUAL recognised. The school offers the opportunity for students to progress into taking part in Theatre Dance Competitions.

Our Acrobatic dance classes are delivered by experienced Acrobatic Arts and British Gymnastics qualified coaches.

All classes provide a great combination of establishing a solid grounding and understanding of dance technique in a fun and friendly environment.
