The Storynook is full of resources to help families explore and enjoy stories through play.

It’s perfect if you have been searching for an alternative to traditional storytelling! This is a self-led session, but library staff are on hand to answer any questions.

All sessions run for 55 minutes.

Booking information

  • Exclusive use of the Storynook for 55 minutes.
  • You only need to select 1 ticket when booking to reserve the Storynook for your selected time slot – this will cover up to a maximum capacity of 10 people (adults and children).
  • Your place will be held for 15 minutes after the booking time. If you haven’t arrived by this time, your place may be offered to another library member
  • To help us keep offering free sessions for as long as possible, donations are greatly appreciated. You can select a donation option when booking.
  • Parents/Carers are responsible for the supervision and safety of children in their care, and so must remain within the Storynook for the duration of the session. As some Storynook resources may present a choking hazard to younger children, this includes checking the suitability of resources prior to use.
  • There is no age limit on the Storynook so anyone who would enjoy the experience is welcome.
