Essential pool maintenance at Worsley Leisure Centre

Worsley Leisure Centre swimming pools will be closed until 2nd January 2026 for essential maintenance to the pool’s air handling system.

Although much of the work will be done underground, the pool area will be too cold to remain open safely during this period.

What this means for you:

• Both the large & small pool and sauna/steam will be closed for the duration of the works.
• All other areas of the centre are unaffected.

We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding whilst we carry out these important improvements. A separate communication has gone out to swimming lessons customers.

You are welcome to use the pool facilities across the city at Broughton, Irlam & Cadishead, Eccles and Swinton & Pendlebury Leisure Centres.

We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as the essential works are completed.
