Welcome to the Lab!
Professor Archie’s Science Lab is a high energy science experience from a real science teacher turned Mad Scientist. Expect plenty of hands-on science experiments and activities, fascinating facts, and a Take Home Science Project for every Young Scientist!
The Science of Sound We all know what sounds are – people talking, birds singing, cars beep, aeroplanes roaring across the sky – but what actually *is* sound? In this workshop we will be exploring the Science of Sound, learning about how sound is created, how it travels, and how our ears and brains join forces to decode the signals hidden inside what we scientists like to call “wiggly air”.
We’ll be testing our hearing, creating our own mini musical instruments, and working together to discover – what is the loudest sound in the universe? Join Professor Archie and Deputy Scientist Liz at Eccles Library for our exploration of the fascinating Science of Sound!
