Discover the lifechanging power of stories through play. Our Storynook spaces are the perfect alternative to traditional storytelling, offering families an escape from the everyday and a chance to explore and enjoy stories through active play. The Storynook is a gateway to imagination where children and families can enter and engage with stories like never before.
There are no age limits at our Storynook, so anyone who would enjoy the experience can book onto a self-led session.
The Storynook can be found within Winton and Little Hulton Libraries, and contain a variety of fun, self-led activities and story-related resources, perfect for families to share. There is a dress-up area in both Storynooks, and a cosy breakout space with bean bags, cushions and blankets. You can embark on your very own bear hunt, meet the Tiger Who Came to Tea or even encounter The Gruffalo.
The Storynook at Little Hulton Library contains addition sensory resources, such as adjustable lighting and projections, which will be available at our monthly Glow sessions.
Our Private sessions give you sole use of the space, and our Social sessions offer an opportunity to share the space with other families.
