Joining the library is FREE! Simply pop into any Salford Library and fill in a joining form for your child.
There are lots of incredible books to borrow and online services which you can use.
Children can borrow up to 10 books for 3 weeks and up to 4 e-audiobooks and 5 e-books using the BorrowBox service. There are no charges on late or damaged books but please encourage your children to look after their books and return them when they have read them.
Books can be returned to any library in Salford.
As well as a great collection of information books, children can also access Encyclopedia Britannica and other online resources to help them do their research.
Printing and photocopying is available at every library for a small charge.
Online services can be accessed both at home and in the library for FREE! To log-in use the 8 digit borrower number written on the library card.
Computers can be used for FREE and there are iPads now available in some libraries. Printing and photocopying is available for a small charge.
Children must have signed permission by a parent/carer to use the computers. Please see Section 2 of the joining form.
