We’ve been working to be able to welcome you back to our venues.

At the start of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak our venues closed and our services stopped. We hope you and your family have managed to stay safe and well during this difficult and unprecedented time.

We’ve been working hard planning how we can re-open and welcome you back safely. Whether you’re a gym member, a library member, a MAPAS student, want to visit Salford Museum & Art Gallery, Ordsall Hall or Helly Hansen Watersports Centre or access one of our member community services.

As lockdown restrictions have eased, we’re delighted to announce some of our venues have now re-opened and services restarted:

Throughout lockdown, we’ve been doing more digitally, with lots of you joining us on our various social media channels or through one to one support online. This has included the use of Zoom and ideas and inspiration for things to do on our social media channels.

  • Exercise classes from our instructors
  • Activities and crafts from Salford Museum & Art Gallery and Ordsall Hall
  • Digital story time sessions and book recommendations from the Libraries team
  • Online tutorials from MAPAS
  • Our Active Lifestyles team supporting clients with classes on Zoom
  • Salford Youth Alliance have been creating video activities for children
  • Our Active Education team have been setting exercise challenges online

It’s been a difficult time for everyone, but hopefully you’ve found accessing some of our services digitally rewarding, entertaining and fun.

Our focus now is to open more of our venues and restart more of our services as and when we can. We’re now working hard to ensure we can re-open individual leisure centres, libraries and museums. Each venue has its own challenges and we’re working through those to ensure we are doing all we can to reduce the risk of the spread of Coronavirus as much as possible.

Remember to keep following us on social media for updates for all our venues.

We can’t wait to see you!
