We’re re-opening and can’t wait to welcome you back!

We’ve been working, so you can get back in the pool. Worsley Leisure Centre will be the first of our centres to re-open and this will be followed by a phased re-opening of our other centres.


The schedule for re-opening our leisure centres is:

  • Worsley – Monday 27 July
  • Irlam & Cadishead – Monday 3 August
  • Swinton & Pendlebury – Monday 10 August
  • Eccles – Monday 10 August
  • Broughton – Monday 17 August
  • Clarendon – Monday 24 August
  • Ordsall – Monday 24 August
  • Salford Sports Village – End of August (once the pitch resurfacing work has been completed)

As our pools are re-opening after the COVID-19 outbreak, a swim session will look very different. Please be aware of the changes and new procedures in place. We’ve developed these following Swim England guidance and they are in place to keep you, our members and our staff safe.

You MUST pre-book your swim session in advance.

We will only be offering Lane Swim and Family Swim sessions. Lane Swim will be a one hour slot and Family Swim will be a 45 minute slot.

You can also book a swim session via our SCL App. If you haven’t already got our App, download it here.

If you’re unable to book online or via the App, you can book an activity by calling your leisure centre when it has re-opened.

Family friendly and accessible changing facilities are available at all sites with warm showers and secure lockers too.



All gym memberships are currently FROZEN, which means we’ve not been taking any payments during our closure.

If you wish to UNFREEZE your membership and return to our centres, you need to inform us by completing a Request to UNFREEZE form.

If you pay monthly by Direct Debit, then we’ll inform you when your payments will restart. If you’ve paid upfront, we’ll inform you of the remaining length of your membership and your new expiry date.

If you’re still not ready to start back on your fitness journey with us when we re-open, don’t worry. We will only unfreeze your membership if you ask us to and no membership payments will be taken until you UNFREEZE.
