Visit Salford Museum and Art Gallery and Ordsall Hall with your class!

We are delighted to announce that bookings for school visits to our fantastic museums are now open! We have put rigorous measures in place to make sure your visit is safe, and our museums are all fully risk assessed.

Because of the current restrictions our availability is extremely limited so if you’d like to visit then please enquire as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

To enquire about booking or for more information please visit the schools section on each website for Salford Museum or Ordsall Hall or you can also email learningbookings@scll.co.uk.

Behind the scenes, we are working on an exciting new service to get museum collections and digital learning into schools to support your classroom learning. To be the first to hear about this and future news and offers, be sure to sign up to our mailing list.

From Tudor feasts to Victorian Washdays, exquisite paintings to industrial history, Salford’s museums are a great starting point for inspiring young minds to grow.

Our Learning Team provides school visits for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 as well as for Key Stage 3 and above. We also offer downloadable resources to support classroom learning and sessions for ESOL groups. Our Teacher Forum enables learning professionals to engage with shaping the museums’ learning offer.

Ordsall Hall and Salford Museum & Art Gallery have been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge which is a nationally recognised indicator of good quality educational provision.

Ordsall Hall is also an approved centre for delivery of the Royal Horticultural Society qualifications which were introduced in January 2015.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you all into our museums again!
