Charitable trusts and foundations play a crucial role in supporting all aspects of our work.

From helping us maintain our historic museums and nurturing new musical and artistic talent to developing innovative programmes that connect and engage local people with opportunities through culture and leisure.

We rely on external funding from trusts and foundations and other grant funders to deliver our mission to preserve the City’s heritage and culture and sustain it for the people of Salford for generations to come and to support local people to pursue music, art, performing arts and leisure.

We are very grateful to our trust supporters, and to trust supporters to The Friends of Salford Museums’ Association, who enable us to continue to make a real difference to people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life across our wide range of activities, venues and services.

In the last financial year £1.4 million was raised to support SCL’s cultural venues and activities.
